It all started in 1899, when two brothers, Edward and Leonard McRoskey of St. Louis and Chicago, brought mattress making equipment to California. They planned to sell the equipment to manufacturers but ended up becoming manufacturers themselves. Edward's sons, Leonard and Robert, joined their father in the 1930's. Today, Robert's daughter, Robin McRoskey Azevedo, is President of McRoskey Mattress Company and oversees the company's commitment to making the highest quality mattresses and box springs.
